The aim of any funeral service is to look back at a life, reflecting upon memories with the help of music, stories and perhaps some photos. This can be done without the addition of religion.
A Humanist Minister will not include any religion or references to reunions with those gone before. Whereas a Civil Celebrant can make it religion-free or include some elements such as hymns and the Lord’s Prayer if preferred.
Venues for non-religious services can be held at crematoria, in woodland burial grounds or even at home.
